I figure you guys are more reliable than my local Honda dealer who was to call me back yesterday with an answer to this question. (Never called).
Are the brake pads the same whether the bike has ABS or not?
Other suggestions/advise on pads welcome.

Yes, the same brake pads are used whether you have ABS or not. OEMs are a good viable solution, but I noticed a better, shorter stopping distance when I switched to EBCs. YMMV.

Same pads and rotors. Go to Hal's GL1800 online site and look under the header for brakes. I use OEM pads. The rear OEM pads are thicker then some aftermarket ones. I now have Traxxion Versa pads on my front and they are at least as good as the OEMs.

I find the OEMs last a lot longer than EBCs, at the very least twice as long. Of course OEM is more expensive. I can't say either set make the Wing stop better like others suggested.
