My 2010 was checked for the brake recall and passed. The warranty expired. Gold wing has 35k on odometer. The rear brake started to drag and then release. Carried bike to dealer in LaGrange,Ga. and had secondary master cylinder replaced under warranty!

Safety recalls never expire, and are unrelated to warranty. Good that Honda dealer worked with you on this though.

Did Honda replace the over heated pads and rotor too?

Things have changed......There is now a 8 year statute of limitations from the date recall is
announced per NHTSA.
I did not know that, thanks.

What surprised me was that Honda covered the defective part after having passed the initial testing even after expired warranty.
In my instance, the brake would drag enough to feel and then would release. I personally pulled the pads and inspected them. Pads showed no signs of overheating with plenty of pad material left. Honda did not replace pads and rotors.
