I have a 2004 GL1800. The CB handlebar switch broke. The switch still operates the radio; however, it is like a spring broke. Tried cleaning switch with WD-40 and no change. Honda does not sell a replacement CB switch and wants to sell me the entire handlebar unit. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you repair it? Thanks!

Open up the switch housing, remove the broken spring. Take it to Home Depot and you may find an almost perfect match! You might have to trim the length!
This is based on me searching for a spring that broke on my Ultra a few years ago. I am thinking with all the springs I looked at, there has to be one to match the CB Rx switch.
Also, try contacting http://www.sierra-mc.com/ . They might have something.
