Hmmm. I don't think the "bump" thing works, as designed, as the posting I saw with it is still buried down in the for sale listings. Plus, the latest posting to this did not move to the top, either.

The "bump" effect will work when someone first logs on or when they click the "New Posts" button on the top of the screen.

If you are logged on and someone "bumps" a post, it will not go to the top until you log on again, or click on the new posts button.

As was mentioned, it is most frequently used when someone has something for sale and the seller wants to move the post back to the top of the new post listing so more will see the post.
