I am attempting to build my own trailer to pull behind my 06 GL1800. I plan on using the Bushtec hitch system with the 1 7/8 ball. I am at the point of fabricating the tongue for the trailer. In order to keep the trailer level, I need to know what the distance is from the top of the ball to the ground when the bike is straight up and the tires on the ground (not on the center stand). :?:

Thanks, Tim

bnordt,

Thank you for the information. Does the progressive suspension change the hight of the bike?

The spring is stiffer so I think there is a slight rise. The main difference is the "70" tire. With both there is a noticeable rear rise. I had to adjust the headlight, the dial adjuster would not go far enough to compensate.
