Looks like they are using Kenda tires now. I just bought a pair from Bushtec at Americade for 55.00 each.

They(BUSHTEC) advertise them as Run Flat also.

Bought my last set from www.smalltires.com, Kenda's 3.0x16 and have absolutely no complaints. Prior to these I had purchased all my tires and tubes through Bushtec. The set prior to the Kenda's wore terribly...less than 24K. When I questioned Bushtec they indicated that they had lost the manufacturer in China who privately labeled the tires Bushtec and changed over to Wanda's (the bad ones). I still replace the bearings at every tire change and purchase them from Bushtec. Good luck.

check google - last week had email on tire store having trailer tires on sale -think till end of month-? good luck

Same here. I bought these last year and am very satisfied with them so far. More specifically:

Wow, thank you GL riders great suggestion.

I would like to buy a 6 ply tire rather than a 4 ply to for longevity.

What has been some of the 4 ply experiences here.

Any recommendation is appreciated :)

I have the Wanda directional tire from Bushtec. It says it's a 6 P. R. tire. 2 ply side and 2 ply thread. Load range "C" 395lbs max gross weight at 40psi. It's been on for around 8000 miles now and it still looks new.

Yes, I really like the Wanda Tires, I have same ones and really the wear pattern. Im hoping to find another set, that would be perfect.

Anyone know where to get a set of these Wanda 16 x 3.00 directions?

Not sure, but a quick Google search looks like you might have to travel to Asia to pick them up :eek:4:.

Hopefully you will find a US dealer. Please share any findings with the rest of us. Thanks.

I don't think ply rating will have any effect on longetivity, unless you leave them on long enough and plan on wearing down into those extra plys...:?

Ply rating is more about the ability of a tire to handle extra PSI and heavier loads. Neither should be a significant concern for a motorcycle trailer, with their relatively light loads they normally carry.

Here's some info on ply ratings. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=55

I personally HATED the Wanda's. Worst mileage of the bunch. I too was concerned about the 6 vs. 4 ply but have been very pleased with the Kenda's and getting great wear out of them compared to Wanda's. JMO.

I am new to this trailer deal......what is the issue with getting tires from Bushtec???
They apparently have been changing suppliers over the last several years, and some believe to lesser quality than the tires they sold previously.

Speaking of changing suppliers, it looks like Bushtec is now selling non-directional Kenda tires with their original Bushtec tread pattern. Maybe they are finally reading this forum ;)

This could be a very good change....

Quote from the linked page "This tire has the original Bushtec tread pattern. They are a non-directional Kenda tire. In comparison to past Bushtec tires, they have a considerably longer tread life."
