JAK, I plan to camp at the Hoot also. The Hoot is on the East side of Knoxville so I like to stay on the North side or the East side to avoid most of the traffic. Here are three campsites that I think are good. I have not stayed at either of them so can't give a first hand review. (1) Knoxville East KOA; located in Sevierville, TN about 20 miles East of Knoxville at exit 407 off I40 East. 865-933-6393; rated at 6.5/8.5/7.0 (ratings are based on 1-10 with 10 being perfect. Middle number is bathrooms and showers) (2) Southlake RV Park; located on East side of Knoxville; 865-573-1837; rated at 7.0/7.5/7.0 (3) Volunteer Family Campground; located at exit 117 off I75 on North side of Knoxville; 865-938-6600; rated at 7.0/9.0/6.0. I plan to stay at Knoxville East KOA in Sevierville. Maybe I'll see you there. SLIDE
