Bump!
Hey FireEater,
I bought a Midland CB after seeing yours at the Coney Island lunch. I also have a loud squeal when I key the mike. Rose and I both use Kennedy FRSet4's and patch cables that allow keying the radio through the OEM CB switch (no OEM CB installed).
When either of us key the radio, there is a loud "Thunk" sound from the bike's speakers even with the radio turned all the way off. The radios are on low power. It sounds like feedback of some sort making it's way back into the audio system.
This system works perfectly bike to bike using our FRS radios. I wanted to try CB for when we ride with other Wing riders. I've just about given up on CB at this point... :-(
