Has anyone installed a Hondaline CB on their new 2012? If so, where does it fit? Easier to install? How about antenna connection? Thanks

The cb goes in the same area as before, but there is no plate to separate it from the radio that sets on top of it. The 2012 cb is different because the lead to the radio is short and I believe it is a 14 pin connection that plugs directly into the side of the radio. No filters required.

I installed one a week ago, as said it goes in the same place as before. You unplug and remove the audio box from the trunk. Has shorter cables, power and the "main" are right there in the trunk area, the antenna mounts the same, but under the seat in returns to the trunk via a much smaller hole on the left side (installer drills hole). There are no longer any filters to put on, so it takes about 1/2 to 1 hour less time to one put in. (depending on the installer) So no you can't move the CB from your old bike and install it in a 2012 (easily anyway)
