Center Stand Install

I recently purchased a 2013 F6B non deluxe model. I purchased all the parts from MRCycles after reading about the issues with Partzilla. Below is the list of items needed. This may be posted somewhere already but my goal was to make finding the information easier.

The install was not difficult HOWEVER, worth mentioning is that the Bolt for the right side is a LEFT THREADED INSTALL. I missed that in the instructions that I had to Google to find. Step 6 indicates the left hand thread.

I used 18 quarters to spread the spring which allowed that portion to go a lot smoother.

Here are the required parts. $158.81

This is a good guide for the standard F6B owners. Not too pricey either. Such a nice accessory to have to air and inspect the rear tire, or remove it.

Here's me 2 cents on the spring installation...

I laid the bike over on the right side, in my garage with carpets under each crash bar. The fuel was below half but I've read that even a full tank doesn't leak gas. I used a bent-up wire hanger and rag to fashion a spring puller. With my feet pushing on the bottom of the frame the spring went on quick. The hardest part is staying calm WHILE letting the bike go down on it's side. My brain was SCREAMING that this was wrong.

Biggest benefit was learning how to "use my legs" to bring the bike back up on the side stand.

I tried using the quarters and that didn't work. I used vice grips and that didn't work. In complete frustration I called my very large neighbor who pulled it into place.
I didn’t see the rubber bumper in the parts list above, does the bagger come with the bumper already there for the stand to rest against in the up position?
To the best of memory, the rubber bumper was there on my standard.
I live in Canada and went to my local Honda dealer....the factory kickstand was listed in their computer as a 'kit' and was about $225 cdn, came with everything I needed. I used 3/8" flat washers for the spring installation, and that worked great for me.
