I just put one on my bike a couple of days ago.

For whatever reason, I could not get my bike up on the stock center stand.
Even with the suspension on 25.
(my old Nighthawk was no problem, but this Gold Wing, no way)

Maybe the springs were shortened or have settled.
(just got the bike a couple of weeks ago)

I haven't tried reversing up onto it yet, or driving off of it.
(the bike is in pieces in the garage now, for other in-progress projects: hitch, air filter, etc.)

I can say it was "relatively" easy to put the bike up on the new center stand.
Compared to impossible for me on the stock stand.
(and I lift boulders, logs, etc when clearing land, no problem...)

Pretty sure you're going to be happy with it. :)
This might help:

For me the problem has been less getting it up than getting it back down. Once up my feet no longer touch the ground enough to feel comfortable trying to rock it forward to get off the stand and standing next to the bike I felt like it was sure to drop if I tried to pull it forward to get off the center stand. I'm counting on the ride off stand to solve the problem. Or I could just go back to using the side stand exclusively.
I'm a relatively short guy at 5'8" with a short inseam. This is how I get my bike off the center stand:

  1. I put the side stand down, climb onto the bike, then rock it forward until it comes off the center stand. I have my hand on/near the brake lever while rocking it.
  2. As soon as the bike gets onto both tires I pull the brake lever and put my feet down. It's sort of like going over a speed bump and coming to a full stop.
  3. If I am in danger of going sideways I am prepared to move to my left, so the bike ends up on the side stand.
