The Weather Channel said it was 26 degrees as I left for work this morning. I decided I could handle that for the 12 miles or so I rode the Wing to work. But as I got on on the north arc of the Beltway, my thermometer read 18 degrees!

It was 20 degrees when I left Van Horn TX. this morning. :( I only made it as far as Demings NM before I had to stop. Even with the Gerbings gear it is damn cold when you are moving at 80 mph.

John,

I've been riding for 45 minutes in 18 degree weather the past couple of weeks. Thank god for Gerbings!!!!

And I thought I wouldn't have to deal with this anymore when I moved from Baltimore to California's central coast 2.5 years ago. A couple of months agao I had to deal with temps starting at 24 and going to 80 within the same day. Hard to know how to dress...LOL

The cold weather gear never leaves the bike. Even in july and august you never know what your'e gonna run into at higher elevations. Tim
