Rode to the store this AM, was inside 5 minutes, came out and it turned
over a little slow. Later in the day would not start, just clicking...
Batt connections were loose again. Just tighten them in Aug, but weather
was hot. Now it is 40° here and they must contract in the cold.
I think it is better to check every once and a while, not wait for it to not
too start

PS Ordered the Volt meter from Hal today, maybe I will see voltage
drop before I have to charge it up NEXT TIME !!!!

Good move on ordering a volt meter, nice piece of mind, i have a kutyachan L.E.D. mounted by the key lock on the rt side panel. Also if you have the dough, get a battery tender jr or equivelent at wallmart. they have a perm. attachment to the battery with a pigtail that plugs into it then the wall. If i dont ride for a few days or so, i plug it in till i go out again. It keeps the battery at full charge all the time. Ive read that if you keep a battery fully charged with a trickle charger, they could last as long as 4-5 years good luck kevin :)

Good luck with your new voltmeter. My experience is that they will show plenty of potential when the battery is too weak to turn the engine over.
