Is the 2008 Dark Red Metallic Wing color the same as the 2009 and previous years Candy Black Cherry????
Dealer says yes, just a different name.
What do you experts think? I'm trying to buy a new Wing and have
to decide soon.

Check the color codes, that will tell you the truth. I suspect they are NOT the same.

If Honda changed the name the color is different. It may be close but will be different. They don't change names on the same color.

A quick look on the Color Rite site tells me that the neither of the 08 Reds are the same as the 09 Red. They might be close but they are not the same paint code so they wouldn't be the same color.

Just give Honda a call and you will have the answer. I did the same thing on my 08.

The new dark red is a good bit darker than the Candy black Cherry.....

I have parked my CBC next to a couple of the new reds.......so I'm not just guessing.


It is still a very nice color but I'll keep my CDC....

you wouldn't consider black? I heard it was the fastest color. Could be wrong.

I wish I had bought that orange one I think it was a 2007, I did not realize I had made a mistake until I saw it in PERSON!! What a difference... Go look at all the colors you can, it WILL make a HUGE difference!!

Same here, I've parked my CBC beside the dark reds and the color is different.

06-08 are dark red metallic code 303

yes they are 97.856 % the same thing, but not quite

That's a very nice fender guard you have on your bike. Last time I was in Vancouver I rode a bike around Stanley Park near Burrard Inlet and I heard there was a place on the island that specialized in coloring fender guards. Nice part of the world there...
