For those who have followed this topic, I emailed Amsoil tech dept last night about comments concerning occasional non-engagement of starter clutches and their motorcycle oil. This is what I received from them minus the salutations: In response to your questions: Honda has had many issues with this system design for some time now. AMSOIL recommends changing the very first oil change at OEM recommendations with an Amsoil product. After this, please follow recommendations for AMSOIL change intervals for oil being used. This will help with cleaning of the internals with-in the system. The amount of oil that actually hits the slipper clutch is a very very small amount. This will help in your warranty claim with Honda.
