Do you need to disconnect the battery and reconnect before resetting the ECM? Some say just start it cold and let it idle till the fans turn on. Does the bike need to be cold or can you just start it warm and let the bike idle till the fans come on? I have read all three procedures and was wondering which is correct or are all correct.

Don't worry about your Engine Control Module if your bike idles at about 700 rpm and your gas mileage is OK. You're 'good to go'. :wink:jkmolt said:
