Need help troubleshooting a Cruise problem. It powers up but will not engage. I have checked all fuses. Stop lights are not stuck on. I suppose my next move would be to check all safety switches (Brakes,Clutch,?)

T-Man,
Just because the brake lights are'nt on doesn't mean that the cruise switches are good. While the cruise switches are located with the others, they are in no way connected electrically. There are three; clutch lever, brake lever and brake pedal.

If you put your ear close, you should be able to hear two distinct clicks at each location when the lever/pedal is engaged and two clicks again as they are released.

If you don't hear two clicks on release, take your hand and push the lever further out and listen for the click.

This is a quick check and the most usual culprit is either the clutch lever or brake lever switch.

Good Luck!

Thanks Drtibird I'll check that. I seem to think all was good until I replaced my brake pedal. I may have messed up there.
