Has anyone had any experience using this type of motorcycle loader to load their Goldwing in the back of a truck?

I haven't used one much less seen one but I like the idea; just not the price. This could open up some possibilities for RV travelers. I suppose you could mount that in/on a trailer too.

Here is another type that I have been considering. Costs a little more but may be a little stronger. I have seen a couple of these used for $1800. I haven't seen either one of these types up close.

Yikes...I would not even want that kind of load on the tailgate.

At least the Cruiser Lift only has the load of the front or back wheel on it at any time not the weight of the bike AND the loader as the Rampage does.

Personally, just seeing the ads, I'd opt for the Cruiser Lift over the Rampage especially at $2600 to the Cruiser Lifts $1800.

Yikes...I would not even want that kind of load on the tailgate.

There's actually little or no weight on the tailgate, as the lift frame is solidly mounted to the bed/chasis, which takes all the load, similar to a fifth-wheel hitch system. There may be a little weight on the tailgate due to flex in the lift frams, but basically, this is a very solid system. I've seen it demoed several times, and it really does the job nicely.

My thoughts also. Was wondering if I got one of these..... http://www.condor-lift.com/product.asp?ItemID=1010 . Get a winch from Harbor Freight, and a ramp and some angle iron, if I could make something for less the half the cost?

I built this loader to haul my bike from Canada to Yuma, Az.

It works fine but I have to leave the tailgate at home.

It has a filler section to make a flat deck for the garden tractor or anything else that fits.

The rails slide under the bike and are held by a couple of pins for travel. The battery rides on the dolly with the bike.

Nice setup, Harvey. How long is your ramps for the wheels?

The ramps are 7 1/2 ft. long as are the rails in the truck.

The truck has a 6 1/2 ft box.
