CT and FirstGear

Took her out today for about a 50 mile run. From Brookshire (after I stopped at the bike shop and telling them they did a good job putting the CT on) I headed north. Decided not to take that right hand turn to Hempstead, went straight instead. What a nice fairly twisty road out in the country:D. Then I made a right hand turn on to another road, not as nice a road as I had been on but not bad. Had no idea where I was then I stopped at a stop sign and looked off to my left and said hey that looks like Repka's (a little burger joint out in the country) It was. One of these days I'll remember to take my GPS and Ipod with me (camera too). CT did well. It was 60 degrees and my FirstGear jacket was good but I ended up sweating a bit. Could of made the run without the liner in it. Suppose to get to 32 tonight. Need to get up early and go for a nice trial run to see how good this FirstGear jacket is.

What am I missing here ?? Who ever heard of a car tire on a motorcycle ?? Sounds like a good way to get hurt. Use your heads guys, its a motorcycle, use a motorcycle tire !!

Car tires are designed for heavy vehicles .. Why would you want a tire rated at 2000 pounds on your 1000 pound motorcycle ?? It would never blow out, You would get way to secure riding on it. To much safety could be hazardous !

Besides that, a motorcycle tire is designed to wear out very fast. To be replaced at a profit very early, If you put on a car tire, it may run for many thousands of trouble free miles !!

Why can't people leave things as they are ???

JMHO

Not sure which model jacket you have but if it is anything like my FirstGear Denali; your gonna love it. I have riding in the high 20's-low 30's and I felt very comfortable.
