This has been posted on the general board before so I thought I'd be darksider specific and ask who of you are vets ? When, what and where did you serve?

I was on a Titan II I.C.B.M. launch crew http://www.titan2icbm.org/ from 73-77.

One of our mottos was "we deliver in 30 minutes or less or your next one is free" !!:shock:

Served 2 years and 7 months in US Army from Nov. 1966 to July 1969.
Served 15 months at Can Tho Army Air Field, South Vietnam in the Mekong Delta with the 244th Aviation Company from April 1968 to July 1969. 2 months as Crew Chief on Mohawk OV-1 fixed wing aircraft. Flew 13 months on an Otter U-1A fixed wing aircraft as a Crew Chief. Got to go to Australia on two 7 day R&R's and loved it.
This is a good thread. Ya never know.....maybe someone I served with will read this and we will be able to reconnect after all these years!

Spent one year in (70-71) in the vacation capital of Vietnam. Spent most of my time on LZ Mary ann it was around the Da Nang area. I was in an artillery unit. ( Battery C, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Artillery, 23rd Infantry Div.)
Americal Div. Also got to be up on the DMZ for a short time. 4:
Yes like Frosty said may be someone i was with will remember .Sorry to say i've tried to forget about it and after 38 years i really don't remember the other guys But memory can be restarted if activated right.

72 to 75. Nam was canceled two weeks before I was able to get their (guess they heard I was coming). Helicopter crew chief OH 58A Kiowa aircraft.

Funny thing is I hated being in the service but look back on it fondly.

First thing I did in 1970 upon getting out? Bought a 1969 Kawasaki Mach III 500.............4: that's what I learned to ride on.

Operations Specialist Chief dabbled in several areas of fun off ships. Jump School for extra fun allowin' me to go forward with Marines/SOF Bubbas.

Always lookin' for some fun from The Blue Angels, USS Lexington AVT-16, USS Kidd DDG-993, USS Briscoe DD-977, USS AW Radford DD-968, Amphibious Squadron 8, Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic and many little side trips supportin' other excursions, just plain ol' good American fun abroad. :lol:

I love retirement though..... Still trainin' fellas to go forward where the Gubment sends 'em.:thumbup:

A few years in the Marine Corps. Snuck in between any major conflicts. Spent most of the time babysitting the Navy at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. Did get a chance to cruise to Norway for a cold weather operation.
