Yes it can be done and it works! I am doing my ST1100 now but as it turns out the 175x60 will fit the GL1500 rim which is what I am using on the STealth11 for the conversion. What I have discovered is most of the drive components on these bigger bikes interchange. The drive coupling, brake rotors, calipers all interchange so switching rim size is not a problem. As with the ST conversion the rear wheel assembly may need to be shifted to the left a bit so the tire will clear the drive shaft tube.

Home made bead breakers

What is the hardest part of doing your own tire changes? Breaking the bead loose for sure.

Here is some info on a couple home make bead breakers that not only work but cost nothing to build. Sorry no brand names and some assembly required :cry:
