I had the left side cover (PROTECTOR *NH168M* 18455-MCA-A20ZA) that covers the exhaust manifold off for some maintenance and noticed a dent in it. I do not believe there is any way one could drag this part through normal riding. Do you think by using my Sears jack, with the left arm of the jack under the main stand pivot, would cause this? What do you think would cause this dent? Thanks.

A picture might help.

I had a dent 'mysteriously' appear on my exhaust protector, although on the right hand side, turns out it was exactly the same height as the tow bar on the car that was pulling away....
