said...I know the bike companies have to take a step in to the future and go for new designs but...butt...ugly. But I'm sure the rider loves it so live and let live, right? I'm fine with it as long as he rides safe.

Hey, if someone likes it and they are riding, best of luck to them. There are a lot of bikes out there I don't particularly care for in the looks department. That doesn't make them bad, just not my thing.
Laugh all you want. I bet the weight to horsepower ratio and ease of handling would get 90% of the riders here thru the Gap faster than a Goldwing:popcorn:

My Burgman lets me, easily, take the tight twisties near my house about 10 mph faster than on my Wing. It does not even feel like work to do it, where I am working hard to get the Wing through 10 mph slower.

HP to weight ratio of the Burgman is about half that of the Wing, but the Burgman is flickable in the extreme.

I stick with the Wing though, as I'm not tempting law enforcement on it, the way I am on the Burgman... Good excercise to boot...
I like the Bike. The Dude in the Power ranger suit looks funny though.
Kudos to the guy for protecting his skin and head while being conspicuous to cars & trucks.

Kudos also for accepting the fact that he can't ride well enough to handle turning AND shifting.;)

To each his own:yes1:

Paul,
It doesn't sound like there is a DN automatic in your future plans. :eek:4::22yikes:
The guy is a member on the VFRD board. Here's his pictures and write-up from that day at The Gap.

We must all bow our heads and pray together:

"Dear Lord, please do not allow the designer of the DN-01 be the same designer of the new Goldwing model...

Amen"
