Hello there all,
I was wondering if anyone has any pictures that you can show me HOW to pack the passenger seat up with luggage.
My lady is NOT going with me on a trip, and I want to pack up as much as i can. so all that's left is the passenger seat to to fill up. Pictures would be great for me to view what type of bag / and how to secure them down in the seat behind me.
Thanks
Dave

My wife rides her own bike so I carry 2 40L Eagle Creek Migrate duffle bags on my back seat. Been doing it for years. They have rugged handles to lash to the passenger handles. They make a comfy back rest too.

One is hers and one is mine. They both go into the hotel room when on travel.….All other gear stays with the bikes so we don’t have to load and unload the bikes if we are hone basing somewhere and just riding around.

You don't say what kind of motorcycle you are riding.
On my '98 and '17 Gold Wing, this is what I have used for several years. T-Bags Motorcycle Travel Luggage Tail Pack
They are no longer made or available commercially to the best of my knowledge.
The upper straps go around the rear speaker enclosures.
The lower straps go around the passenger grab rails.
Packed properly it holds five days change of clothing, toiletries, CPAP and my notebook computer and accessories.

I use a zippered nylon waterproof bag. Check you local military surplus store. In the past I used these while traveling around the world and now on my bike trips. Works great and unlike a rigid suitcase, it is flexible and can be "shaped" to fit in available space. With a little planning, you can easily pack a week of clothes. I strap it on with a bungie net and also add a second nylon "safety strap". The bag also has handles which allow easy transport between bike to hotel room. This is the same as I use ... Pardon Our Interruption...

If I'm traveling without the trailer I use this bag. It came with a waterproof cover, ties down nicely to the passenger handles and comes into the motel at night with me. I've used it a lot. When I bought it in 2015, it was only $49.99. Now it's considerably more. At today's prices, if I was looking again I'm fairly certain I would buy @Arch Wood's suggestion above; only because of the price.

Back seat and trunk bag are both Saddlemen. I would have to look up the model though. The back seat bag becomes your backrest and if you have one, it has to come off to get the bag on. If your driver backrest does not remove without tools, this bag may not be for you. Tons of room in the seat bag. Fits perfectly with one side rounded and the other side flat. I use two tie downs from d-rings on the bottom of the bag to the passenger grab handles. Bag fits so well, you may not even need tie downs, but I do just in case.

I use the Kuryakyn Xkursion XW5.0. It has a curve to it, so it sits nicely against the backrest. The best part...it's a roller bag, so I just extend the handle and roll it into my hotel. I have 1 side of the strap attached to the passenger grab handles and the other to the bag itself, so it's just 2 clips. I also attach 2 more clip straps loosely to the sides of my luggage rack. They aren't necessary, but just an added safety. Unfortunately, they don't make this bag anymore and I haven't seen a similar roller bag.

@L1Wolf , that bag looks a lot like a Saddlemen BR4100 bag, I use one on my 2010 wing.

I use the rear pax area merely for garments I’m changing into and out of as the day progresses. I don’t like disturbing my trunk or saddlebags just to swap a jacket or gloves. I’ll use regular bungie type elastic cords, or some old Rider Wearhouse straps. The pile grows and shrinks as the ride goes on. Also keeping the pile low allows the trunk to be opened without disturbing the load. Very very important!
