On the 2006 Wing there are two vents that look like they direct air on to the riders thighs. The manual says that warm air comes through. I get no air....how about you?

If you lick your finger and put it in front of that vent at speed on the road you can feel air movement.

I use mine to dry my finger after I lick it, quite handy!

Mine supplies nice warm air at speed in the winter..when I actually have them open. Add in the hot grips (will raise blisters through padded gloves. Don't ask.) and the foot warmers, and cold weather riding is a whole new ballgame. Don't need too much heat the rest of the year, so I keep them closed. And, yeh, it gets cold here.

Ride long and safe..and creature comforts make this creature comfy.

When I removed my left storage pouch to hook up my Aux audio I had a chance to see where the vents were routed. The intake is right below the storage pouch. Seems to me that Honda could have taken advantage of the nearby radiator exhaust and made those vents really work with heat. Anybody have an idea how to re-route that air?

On a serious note, I think the intent was to help break the negative pressure behind the faring. It would be a hoot to snag heated air someplace but off of the radiators the air temp is just 20* to 30* above ambient out side temp.

With a belly pan to help raise the pressure of the header area you could get some serious heat into the cockpit area if one could pull it out of that location. It's gonna hafta be some stout high temp ducting though!

Need to ask Fred if it's even possible to duct anything from down below???

Left home for work last week with frost still on the garage roof. temp was 2C (35.6F). Opened the vents before getting on the bike. My legs did not get cold at all (40 minute trip). Seem that a low volume of warm air around your shins really works.
