We will be in Amarillo this Friday evening looking for something to eat.

We have done the Big Tex; would like to find something a little more local.

We like it all, anyone have a suggestion?

No they are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!, plan on waitng in line, also Famous Daves for Bar B Q, if ya go down on route 66 there are several small Cafe's that have good food also.. enjoy

Eats In Amarillo

Go to the Stockyard Cafe at Sale Barn and get the Chicken Fried Steak. If it is too early for lunch, do the Chicken Fried steak and eggs. I think you will be pleased with either meal.

The Western Bowl Rest has good mexican food and on Monday evening it is only $2.95 plus a drink. They also have a pretty good chicken fried steak for the same price on Tuesday night. Either meal is satisfying to me.
My wife and I eat there often and get out with a $10.25 bill.
