I use it. Keeps the phone in the middle. Gives it air space all around for hot weather. May need to put a piece of velcro on the bottom to keep it from moving. Better than foam from Honda which holds the heat in.

I use this in the summer time. I put VHB tape on the bottom to keep it in place. I use the Electrical Connections cooling fan in the summer too but the wiring connections need to be firmly held or you'll lose connection when you hit bumps and that maddeningly interrupts your Android Auto and it doesn't always recover.

I have one too. Works well. I actually added a pc of Velcro on the bottom, so she held in place while pulling the phone out. So far, even without a cooling fan, my phone stays cool enough.

Thanks! I did not know this was available. I only stick my cell in the cubby & will buy one. All for more ventilation space

I can't locate it on their website and I'm a cheapass.

Does Electrical Connections have free shipping if you buy X amount of stuff?

I hate to be just a few dollars short of free shipping when I could buy another goodie and get to the level of free shipping.

One it's Saturday and they are closed. Two they have not answered their phone the last several times I called them and also are VERY slow in responding to emails if at all. I've never given them a hard time, so I'm hopefully not on his ignore list. :cry::unsure:

Lewis is a super nice guy and sells good stuff.

Lewis and team are down in Daytona Beach for Bike Week. I imagine the shop is closed.

I paid him a visit and got the visibility lights installed AND the cell phone holder.

The cheapest is $9.45 for shipping! How big/heavy is this thing?

Somehow I have this aversion to paying more for shipping than the item costs.

This is what I was talking about. You are just a few dollars short to free shipping and if the place is not nice enough to tell you like this place (Touratech BTW does), then you blow money on shipping when for 4 dollars more, you get $20.00 worth of goods and free shipping. See picture. I found something I wanted for just over the needed amount and made the order.

Based on this thread, I decided to purchase both the phone holder and short USB cable for my 2018 wing. Have to say that I am somewhat disappointed. The phone holder doesn't provide good fit if you're using a phone case and I think that the phone case provides more protection. The USB cable I received is not well made and frequently disconnects. I went back to my old setup after a mapped rider where carplay kept disconnecting. I went to the site and submitted for a return and received a message that I would be contacted but nothing yet Also, Shipping was as much as the cost of the products, which weight all of 3 oz. I normally like their stuff, but this, in my opinion, was a swing and a miss

I use the holder to hold my iPod ...iPod stays put in the holder. Works ok with my phone and its case protector. I also use Electrical Connection short cable for the phone and my Samsung S22 works perfectly with AA and Electrical Connections short cable.

I got a lot of good advice from my stupid questions and I'm happy that someone pointed out that there is another connection in the left saddle bag. My iPod is connected there (get a Klien or Husky bit bag to protect it) and when I walk away, it is safe. My phone is typically in my jacket chest pocket. Phone calls are linked to my helmet. Perhaps connecting the phone to the saddle bag tag would work as the pouch connection, or is that too hot?

Totally agree - and when I reported the cable disconnect issue to Electrical Connection they did not respond - so I am done with them for sure. I went back to the cable that came with my Pixel 6 phone and it is solid. I still try to use the EC phone holder but it is awkward at best and a very tight fit and I might get my razor knife out this weekend and see if I can "adjust" the fit.
