Does anyone know if I can replace the left engine guard by removing the front inner fairing, upper and lower, or will I need to remove the whole front cap (fairing).

Had three cinder blocks fall of a truck in front of me and I missed all but one and it hit the engine guard. Have new part but cannot find the above information in the manual.

Thanks for any help

Engine Guard

No, you do not have to pull the fairing. Take off the front lower cowl, the grey piece. Then you take off the black piece behind that. It is above the timing cover. Once you get that done you can get to the top bolt. I can't remember if you have to take off the grey exhaust cover, but I think you do.

Take off the cowel and exhaust covers. Be carefull not to cross threat the bolts when you install the new engine guard. The last one that I put on I had to use some serious muscle to get the holes to line up properly.
