First let me say I had a great time at the Ding this past weekend. Great prices and good people, beautiful roads can't beat that. Now, for the question. I need to replace my Escapade Elite lid struts. They look like typical hatch back struts so can I but them at a local auto parts store, if so do you have a part number? Thanks for the help.

I believe that they are standard automotive struts. You should be able to take one to any auto parts store to match them up.

the ones from the autoparts store will more then likley be to heavy

here is a good place to start looking

and here is something you will want to know about before ordering

One Newton equals 0.225 pounds of force. the struts on my HF trailer are N70 and this is how you work it into pounds the N stands for Newton.

70 x .225 = 15.7 lb.

hope this helps

Why bother with the hassle of going to the auto parts store and trying to find the ones that might fit your application. Instead, why not order them directly from California Sidecar. Sure you'll pay for shipping, but they'll be the exact ones for your trailer.
