Don't by anything from Lams Pretty Clair on FaceBook. I REALLY wanted an Ultimate seat for $225. So much so I lost $125. Keywasted on the "other" F6B forum was on the hook also.

EDIT: Keywasted posted here too.

Here is another scammer for you guys to be aware of. He goes by the name of Mike Kennedy out of Virginia. I posted a tread on WTB Luggage rack for F6B. He has someone on this forum that recommends him. Anyway we got to talking, and we agreed on price with shipping included. I asked to send pictures of the item and he kept insisting that I pay for the item. I believe in the good nature of man. So after he sent picture, I sent the funds. And he said he would ship the very next morning. Well that never happened! I reached out to him, and got no answer. So he puts his wife on a text, that he had gotten into accident and was in a coma (LOL) I knew right away , that I was scammed! Have not heard from him again! Out of $90.00. Lesson learned, I will never send money to anyone as a friend. I will rather pay the percentage that Paypal charges. That way your buy or sell will be protected!!!

I looked up
Mike Kennedy...I got ...The specified member cannot be found. Please enter a member's entire name.

Whats his user name?
That's all the info I got right now. He apparently deleted all our conversation. But Annie Badzek is the Paypal account I sent funds to.

Are you sure there was a PM conversation? That scammer posted an email. The scammer's account was deleted not long after the post was made. There were several other scam posts in the same thread using the same tactic. If anyone posts "My friend has this for sale" and specifies an email, it's a scam.

In my 18 years of using Paypal, I never had to file a dispute. (Knock on wood) I've read it can be a bear to get ahold of somebody from Paypal, let alone getting them to reimburse you. There's tons of stuff online about why Paypal sucks. So don't put much faith in Paypal having your back.

I try not to get wrapped up in, "I better jump on this quick, before someone else snatches it up." That's exactly what scammers feed on. I look at every online transaction as a scam, and try to find reasons why it's not. And if my BS detector goes off, I run, (not walk) away. If buying off Facebook, it's best do a face to face, cash transaction. Facebook is like the wild west, but for scammers.

PayPal isn't fun, either. Bought some Larry Fleet t-shirts on Black Friday, and got a shipping notice, which in reality was only that the shipping label had been created. Larry's folks went radio silent when I tried to get info from them, so I decided to contest the charge through PayPal. Let's just say it was a case of me being guilty and having to prove my innocence.

Finally got the t-shirts, (which oddly shipped the day after I filed the protest with PP), but I'll use my Chase card more, and PP less, going forward. If something happens with a purchase through Chase, it takes two minutes to file a claim, and they take over.
