One of the guys I ride with had that same problem and it turned out to be the ECM. Check with your dealer on this code.

I ain't going to be any help to you KK. Just wanted to say, at least yours is giving a code. Mine just flashes, I finally took it in, they have had it over a week and still can't find the problem.I bought a 2001 GL1800 with 200,000 miles--12,000 miles ago. It runs great but burns a bit of oil. I started getting a Fuel Injector code #25 on my last ride. It indicates a right knock sensor circuit problem. I have a service manual, but have no idea how to start on this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When you put it in neutral with the sidestand down, it flashes long and short. Each long flash = "10" and each short flash = "1". Add up the values of the flashes and you have the "FI code" or Fuel Injector Error Code.Mine just flashes
Not yet, I'll look at it this weekend.KarateKid, Rocketmans problem isn't a failure code, his whole electrical system is pulsing and causing the FI light to flash. Did you get anywhere with your knock sensor issue?

They're listed elsewhere in this forum. Try, "FI Codes" or "F1 Codes."
They are still talking wiring harness!KarateKid, Rocketmans problem isn't a failure code, his whole electrical system is pulsing and causing the FI light to flash. Did you get anywhere with your knock sensor issue?
It could be your knock sensor. Mine was throwing that code on my '01 but it was running poorly also. It turned out to be a bad ECM. A bad knock sensor is not supposed to make it run any differently.I started getting a Fuel Injector code #25 on my last ride. It indicates a right knock sensor circuit problem.
