Does anyone know what is going on with Firecreek Acc. (Windbender)? I have been thinking about getting one but no one answers the phone or returns messages. I had a couple questions. I have left three voice mails and have tried calling six or seven times. Not to sure about a company you can't get in touch with..

I woudn't be surpised to hear that he's working rally-to-rally this time of year with very limited free time for phone calls --

Email sometimes can be a blessing for these "store & forward" types of messages Give him a shout at [email protected]

Personally, I've had nothing but great and well thought-out exchanges with Dayle (always seems like he cares for my bike and wallet as he would his own). Indeed, he's more the type of businessman that I would prefer to do business with, than the type of businessman that I usually have to do business with. (I sincerely hope that nothing is wrong though!)

I just ordered from him and bugged him on the phone twice. Last time he sounded like he was juggling two phone calls, a live customer and a barking dog. He STILL answered all my stupid questions completely and treated me quite graciously. My order was sent promptly and I'm really enjoying the shield. I would not hesitate to refer business to the man.

Steve.

There was a group of riders, including D, that put miles on some of the best roads in Washington state this past weekend.

I was working or would have joined them; but everybody ought to be home by now so I suggest try tomorrow.

Dayle had an encounter with a deer last weekend. He's ok, but I'm sure he's been tied up with some insurance stuff and some coordination of getting his bike fixed. Give him another shout, he WILL get back to you. Great guy and very serious about his business and customer satisfaction. By the way, he sells a great product.

I installed mine a couple weeks ago. Emailed back and forth before and after the sale and everything went quick and with great responses. Dayle took great care of me and will do business with him in the future.

I do have a quick questions for Windbender users, for those of you using the Farkle Shelf, is it worth the money?

If you have seen how well built the Farkle Shelf is, and have enough farkles to use it, then the answer is YES.

It will be my next purchase if I decided to get a radar detector.

Greetings,

The Farkle Shelf is worth every penny and then some if you have multiple devices that you want up at eye level. For example, my shelf holds the following.........two GPS's, GXM-30 antenna for XM, Escort 8500 in a Legal Speeding hard box, remote heat-troller for heated gear, SPOT tracker, garage door opener, and a cockpit light. Handlebars are free except for the Butler Cup.

Everything is right below eye level so eyes don't come off the road to peek at the GPS, see visual alerts on the Escort, etc.

I am thinking the Farkle Mini Shelf as the only things I was going to put on it was my Zumo and Camera.

I can't speak highly enough of Dayle and his products, but the Farkle shelf is one product that I have not tried. The first Wing I put a Windbender on already had a Texcellent accessory bar and I never saw a need for anything else.

In my opinion, there is not a better accessory mounting system available. The bar also stiffens the handlebars, and I think it dampens vibrations to an extent.
The only problem was when I traded up to an airbag. The bar had to go because it blocked the airbag.

As far as the Farkle shelf goes, I'm sure it is a quality product, or he would not be selling it.

Nothing but satisfaction from Dayle as far as I'm concerned. Been a Windbender user since 2002, had a few issues that Dayle took care of immediately. I heartily recommend him, be patient young Jedi, it will be worth it.
