Well, I just finished my first air filter change. Quite a job. I'm not sure if it was easier or the same as my K1200LT. Honda has a lot more tabs and clips but you have to pull the tank on the BMW. I'm going to call it a draw. While I was in there I installed a dual USB port in the center pocket. Total time for the job, 3 hours and 20 minutes. BTW my 2016 did not match any of the videos or tutorials. the "shelter" on mine is in multiple pieces and there are several differences in fasteners. All good now. The pic shows old filter with 12,000 miles. Not terribly dirty.

I don't even want to think about AF change on my 2018.:frown2:

Try changing the trans on one.

All good now. The pic shows old filter with 12,000 miles. Not terribly dirty.

Generally, that is how they look when I change them too. If the dirty one is tilted, one can better see a shadowed area of dirt.
