I've seen several "knock-down, drag-outs" here when someone innocently flies the US flag & inadvertently flies it in the wrong position. I know when I'm flying 2 flags on my bike during PGR missions (last one, day-before-yesterday, the US Flag is flown in the Right Rear position).

I'm wanting to fly 2 flags, (1 on ea. side) of the front entry to my place of biz.

1 Flag would always be the US Flag (Stars'n'Stripes). The other would be a branch of service flag (Army; Navy; Air Force; Marines; Coast Guard; Nat'l Guard flag; Patriot Guard Riders flag; etc.)

My Q......... as your facing & walking up to my front door - is the American Flag to be situated to YOUR RIGHT ???????? (with the branch of svc flag on your left).......

TIA - Dave / Missourahhhh (FINALLY IN THE 70'S today - 1st time in months) !

The Stars and Stripes is positioned to its own right in a forward direction of march/movement. I would expect then, that the stars and stripes would be to my left as I approached your business, and your service flag to my right.

The flag should always be to the RIGHT of the presenter, LEFT of the observer.
