Fork Seal kit recommendations??

Wingstuff is almost constantly out of stock for the OEM Honda fork seal\bushing kits that my riding buddy needs to repair his 2008 Wing. They show as "in stock" until you put them into your cart then they are out of stock.
Any other suggestions for a "kit" with all the appropriate parts he needs? He isn't real confident in ordering individual parts and coming up short on what we will need.
So far I have come up with only aftermarket or having to order individual items.
2008 ABS model with approx 60k miles. Left side (of course) leaking. Probably doesn't require bushings but he figures might as well. I have seen a lot of recommendations to disable the anti-dive but he is hesitant and a great believer that Honda knows what they are doing.
Suggestions\recommendations welcome.

Since Wingstuff shows all the OEM part numbers and quantity needed in their ad, why doesn't he just copy and paste the individual part numbers into a search window for Partzilla or similar supplier? He can line up his Partzilla order along side a window with the Wingstuff page and verify the Partzilla order.

suggested that and I think he found that the individual parts soon added up to quite a bit more cost and/or there were a few that were out of stock that method also. No emergency for the parts as riding season is a ways off up here yet but the warm(er) weather has urge to get several maintenance items on multiple bikes started.
Thanks!

Have you tried ordering from Wing Stuff Lately? I have ordered the fork kits from them several times and have never had a back order or out of stock issue. And since you have say "No emergency for the parts as riding season is a ways off up here yet but the warm(er) weather has urge to get several maintenance items on multiple bikes started." why not just order the kit now and wait for it "IF" there is a temporary out of stock issue. That is what I would do considering the low priority on when the items are needed.

They are currently again shown as out of stock now when sent to your "cart" and have been that way most of the last few months.
Yes, the only thing about that is there is no knowing when\if they may again be in stock for the next month or so and it would be good to have the parts on hand for when our schedules fall into place to do the job.
My hope was that some others had found a source for a comparable "kit" from another reputable vendor source.
Thanks!

When I rebuilt my forks I had to get some tools from Traxxion. I ordered the stock seal kit from them so they have them too. Don't remember the price or anything else other than I got the seal kit along with everything else. Not an endorsement or anything, just another idea on where you can get them.

The fork seal sets are readily available it seems from just about anywhere.

The question was about the complete fork rebuild kit that Wing Stuff sells. They put the kit together with parts they have on hand I believe. Separately all the items can cost in excess of $170. Their complete kit was listed at $10499. All in all a great value. I do not know why the kits are no longer available but they may not be putting the complete kit together anymore due to cost.

The parts in their kit for the 2006 - 2010 GL1800 that they listed for $104.99 are:

2ea - 90544-283-000 WASHER, SPECIAL (8MM)
1ea - 90116-KV3-701 BOLT, SOCKET (8MM)
1ea - 90116-383-721 BOLT, SOCKET (8 x 27)
1ea - 51490-MCH-C11 SEAL SET, FRONT FORK
1ea - 51490-MCA-A61 SEAL SET, FRONT FORK
2ea- 91356-MW0-003 O-RING (37.2 X 2.4) (SHOWA)
2ea - 51415-MCA-003 BUSH, SLIDER
2ea - 51414-MCA-003 BUSH, GUIDE

Separately these parts are $164.68 from MR Cycles.

Yes, I had also collected the parts numbers from the kit also and will stop by the local dealer and see what sort of total they come up with and what their availability is (they seldom have many parts for these in stock obviously). On occasion when I bring in a list with part numbers they offer a decent discount from listed price.
Partzilla was about $126 for the above, so not a huge savings from the "kit" price but it's not my money to spend (or not).
Thanks

I had a 2008 which I sold last September. Looked thru my box of stuff and found a set I bought from Wingstuff (2019) All parts still in plastic bags. I just posted in classified for picture. Hope this helps. mark

I order almost all my parts from Ronnies Mail Order or Honda Parts House. Both web sites has the fiche you can look at with part numbers etc. I also use those sites for things like screw that the allen heads start to wear. Jettawreck, your friend should go ahead and replace bushings while replacing the seals The forks are already apart and the bushings don't take any more time. I've also stopped a fork leak using Seal Mate. Fork seals leak mainly because they get dirt wash down from the forks and the seal get that dirt between the rubber and the fork leg. Seal Mate pushes that dirt back out of the seal and the seal then does it's job. My Goldwing is 18 years old and I've used Seal Mate twice on both forks before, after a couple years later, I finally replaced the Seals and bushings.

After Every Ride, I wipe the fork legs above the seal about 5 inches and try to keep them clean. This helps maintain the integrity of the seals, especially if bug juice needs to be wiped away.

Thanks.
The bushings are part of the WingStuff "kit" and included in the parts list posted earlier and will be replaced.
I will see what parts are available and pricing locally before ordering.
The Seal Mate (a home made version that's been successful on some other bikes) has been tried and seemed to be a very temporary cure for this Wing.
I'm quite good about cleaning\washing my Wing after most rides, the buddy not so much. The left fork Seal started to leak (or noticed) soon after he bought it a couple years ago and even after a couple attempts with the seal mate it has gradually gotten worse, so it's time to replace\repair it.
Considering deactivating the anti-dive, especially since it's the left side leaking.

About half way down the page in stock and a good price. Seals and Bushings/sliders. Once you click on it there is a description and the options for the year and side. Cyclemax is fantastic to deal with, besides the instock products their OEM parts are also about he best prices you can get. Cyclemax.com

Thanks for the suggestion.
Myself, I would be open to options but the owner is pretty determined to stay with OEM.
Will see what the local dealer has or will do tomorrow when I stop in.
Recommendations for fork oil weight??
Some years ago when I did my stem bearings and had the forks off I flushed out and replaced the fluid using some old left over BelRay dirt bike and atf fluid mix. It was an improvement over the fluid that was previously in them but I don't recall what viscosity the old bottle of BelRay fluid was.
As I recall the service manual gave the spec for the fluid level but not the recommended weight.

I would stay with oem parts as they are known to work and last. Paying the addition price to get the individual parts should not be a problem to do a job the correct way.
Plus it is only a few bucks more that will give him a good feeling that the rebuilt will last for years.
And while he is into the forks, have him replace the junk stock springs with a set from Traxxion.
This will make a very nice improvement to the ride quality.

The parts from Wingstuff came and we completed the project midweek while it was in the mid-50's. Now the ground is white with snow so it may be a while before it gets a proper trial run.

FYI, I'd highly suggest not to use any aftermarket fork seals, only buy Honda seals. You can order all the parts at many places on-line. I'd recommend always replacing the lower fork bushing as well as the copper crush washers on the bottom of the fork bolts.

All the parts referenced (and more) come in the kit and all are OEM Honda parts.
