Friday the 13th! The BOSS and I will make a short run from Fort Bragg to New burn, see the Pepsi birthplace, have lunch and return. Nothing much, but have to make it between 0800 and 1430 since the daughter will be at school. YES! we have a 12 yr old daughter in middle school.... we're not all retired! kidding folks.

If anyone would care to ride along. or meet for lunch in New Bern about 1100. hit me up.

Where in New Bern are you planning on stopping at? If I can I'd like to be there. New Bern is 50 miles or so from me.

Friday lunch in New Bern

not sure yet the exact time. I am guessing about 1100-1130. I will talk to JoJo tonight. Planning on meeting him half way and then on to New Burn for lunch. never been there, but how about:

COW CAFE 319 Middle Street. Kids will love this home-made ice cream factory. Flavors ranging from the ever-popular Moonilla to Chocolate CowPie. A New Bern icon, you can watch the ice cream being made. South's best barbecue is offered here, the famed Raymond's brand. Nowhere else in eastern NC has this pork delectable! Great lunches with chicken, burgers and dogs--salads too! MUST for all visitors. Holstein-themed--- You'll love the fun.

Sailor. I look forward to seeing that Fat tire on the bike. I am close to crossing the line myself.

Yes I was in the Navy. I was on a submarine so I didn't get to "see" the ocean as much as others. :coffee1:

Joel, how did your ride go today? What a great day to ride. I would have joined you and JoJo, but I had my trike torn apart installing my CB. Maybe next ride I can join in and meet you.

Today's ride

Had a great ride today. Thanks Joe and Sailor for tagging along for lunch. I was pleased a couple of other guys met us in New Bern, but could not stay for lunch... apologies I forgot your names. It was great to see the other bikes and compare some notes.

Lets do it again sometime!

Stayed with Bartman in Jacksonville both on the ride down there and back Friday. Rained on me the entire 6 hours back! :22yikes: Still, the weather all last week MORE than made up for it! :doorag:

Hope y'all had a great day!
