Hi,
I am looking for the rear section of my front fender (mine is cracked at all 4 mounting bolds a year after install the FFE with brace). Tried to bid on eBay, and last night somebody actually bid $174 for that rear section of a 2001 GW . I lookup part fische on HDL and PartFish and notice they have multiple listed for front and rear piece of the front fender:

What are those number (such as Y130P)? Are they color code? If so, what's 05 black cherry red?

yes they are color codes yours is R287

Interesting ... I replaced my front fender(rear portion) this summer for the same reason ... shook to death by long fender extension ... and folks told me that fender extensions do no harm ... :lol: Nothing added to my front fender now !!!

Mine is cracked right now but strangely right after the dealer changed my front tire?.. Also the lousy front end on this bike and the big hits it takes on a bump can't be helping that plastic either.

Since Honda offers an official Honda Fender extension as a dealer installed option I do not believe that the addition of a fender extension can be blamed for the cracks. The blame is faulty/poor Honda engineering in the design of the rear front fender. Honda should step up to the plate and offer free, redesigned rear front fenders or offer free replacement for the life of the bike. This dishing out more than $200 dollars every couple of years for a body part that should not need replacing except in the event of a crash is ridiculous. The rear front fender on the '01 to '05 GL1800's is a real POS. Why don't we organize a rear front fender demonstration day where as many of us as can will go to our Honda dealers on a pre-arranged day and file a complaint. Maybe the mass submission of literally thousands of identical complaints within a 12 hour period will get something done. Has anyone else ever had a bike that needed to have a fender replaced on a regular basis? I have never heard of one.

Need to order one now. Unfortunately, mine is the most expensive one.

I notice the 2 left and right fender covers also put lot of tension on the rear section of the front fender as well. 1 of the mounting bracket on my left fender cover actually broken off.

My bike is 5 years old and the fendor was replaced once, when a rock was caught between the wheel and the FFE and rolled all the way out the front. That was due to the Bushtec FFE. I replaced it with the Kuryakyn FFE and have had no problems since.

You all have to stop blaming Honda for the damage your third party accessories do to the bike. They are not responsible. Just because Honda offers a FFE doesn't mean that any size FFE is acceptable. Many of them are just too heavy for the fender. These thrid party vendors are not necessarily engineering their products to be compatible with the bike. They're just satisfying demand. If you want a guide look at the Hondaline accessory. It will serve as an example of what Honda considers acceptable.
