I am about to install an auxiliary fuel cell and have decided on either the JAZ or RCI four gallon models due to the semi-wedge shape that should allow me to still open the trunk almost fully.

I don't see purchasing capability or prices on either web site. Does anyone know a good, honest, source for purchasing these fuel cells? I did find one local speed shop that could only give a rough guesstimate price on the RCI.

Thanks

Quickdraw - in addition to the other information that I mentioned in my post on the Tank Bag http://forums.gl1800riders.com/viewtopic.php?t=4150, I neglected to mention you can purchase the Summit Racing fuel cells from their site at:
http://store.summitracing.com/
(just click down from Air and Fuel Delivery - and down to fuel cells)

I was aware of the Jaz fuel cell, but decided against a plastic and polyethylene fuel cell and prefer the aluminum.

Another good source is through Ebay.

P.S. A nice looking (IMO) auxilliary fuel cell is something like this (plus a good site with lots of information on the setup).

Thanks Neil,

I do like Ron's design, and Alan's: http://www.bsu.edu/web/00amleduc/wing/fuel.htm but I want a bit more... check out my other post on the tech board "I'd like a second (hundred) set of eyes on this idea, please". I think I've designed what will work for me and I may have Jon's shop prototype it for me before I let them build it.

Quickdraw,

Jon will do a good job - we all know that.

How come I haven't run in to you? Were you out putting around last Friday on the backrodas between Adna and Rochester?

I don't know Neil. I get around. And, that is one of my FAVORITE long ways home. I love Independence Valley. Coulda been me. I've been down that way twice recently. It takes 25 miles to see a client in Chehalis and 75 to get home. You are coming to 2.5 mile run with us this year aren't you??? If you don't you'll be sorry, 'cause we all talk about the ones who weren't having a great time with us :p
