On my way to work this morning, my lights on the gauges and tail lights went out. Sounds like a fuse to me. I just came in from my wing and all of the gauges ( tach, speedo, fuel oil pressure ) have quit working also. Now I am not so sure. Is all of this stuff on the same fuse?

Probably a fuse or fuses. But the question becomes what caused the
fuse(s) to fail? I would start with checking any aftermarket electrical items installed.

fuse

Had that happen on an out-of-town adventure last summer. Fuse blew due to a problem with the wiring in the trailer. I can't remember if it was a bulb that was causing the problem pr a bad ground in the wires because I was checking all the bulbs as another rider was checking the wires. I don't know if you have any "extras" on your cycle, but I would check there first.

If your bike is 01 thru 05 then it is fuse #5, 15A It powers the tail relay and that circuit supplies lots of other goodies including the gauges.
