From http://woti.org - Lenny Cotton and some others in the province of Ontario are having a gathering at Smith Falls. I've attended several of these and have had a great time riding around southern Canada. However, Lenny's web site became unavailable, so I've put up this page:

http://jkgraphics.com/gcmr/gcmr.htmhttp://jkgraphics.com/Eagle/gcmr.html

and I'm waiting for details.

As far as I understand, GCMR is Great Canadian Menu/Motorcycle Ride and is organized by a bunch of fun loving Canadians.

I'll update the web page as I get information. Sorry for the inside jokes, but some of you may be familiar with this group, and they are fun loving!

Updates

I've received some humorous emails from the Canada group, and seems that I've stirred the pot? Who, me? I'm just helping Lenny out. I'd never post anything to disturb the natives, I'm basically a shy guy....;)

Back Home

Made it home from the GCMR. Thanks to our hosts, Lenny & Paul and to Paul's son for his cooking and sister Rae for desserts for Saturday night.

It had been a while since I was up north to Canada, but some things never change:

  • Even the English language is different.
  • This is the best disorganized group that still gets it done right.
  • Even with a GPS, Lenny keeps making U-turns :eek:4:
  • There is always entertainment: Saturday, Greg's guitar playing, and Sunday, Kevin locked his keys in the trunk of his already locked car.
I just have to return next year! Give me some time; a video is coming.

Smiths Falls

Man I've got to get onto this site more often. I was raised in the halfway house on the stage coach run between Kingston and Ottawa. It's an old log home not far from Portland. These are my old stompin grounds and I get back there at least once every year. Did you guys do the Chaffey's Locks Rd. and the Jones Falls Rd over to Battersea. How about the road up through Crow Lake and Bolingbroke. NEXT YEAR FOR SURE!!!
