Hello friends,
Recently purchased the Gerbing 12 volt electric Jacket, gloves and dual zone controller. I installed the system up and will say I have a great grasp of electronics so I am positive the install is correct. Long story short, when the jacket is connected alone and laying on the seat, everything is fine. If I move the jacket, it blows the 15 amp fuse. I've gone thru 5-6 fuses now with the same results. I have nobler wires exposed and the area of concern seems to be the left shoulder/chest area.. Has anyone had any dealings with Gerbing for returns, within warrenty? I called Revzilla and they directed me to Gerbing, who are closed till Monday. Appreciate any advise or history on this -

Sorry, no experience with the new Gerbing. Sure sounds like an internal short. Assume you have attached just the gloves and had no issue.

Do they have an online contact form or e-mail address to start a warranty claim?

Jeff @3 Eagles recently had a problem with his jacket connector interface, gerbing stepped up and took care of him. It was an old jacket also. Contact them on Monday, they'll work with you.

Looks like you have to wait to contact Gerbing. Hopefully they replace the jacket. I just read their warranty. It's a little vague just like most. Says nothing about any return shipping being covered. Also says it must be purchased by an authorized dealer. Seems strange that Revzilla referred you to Gerbing. Their return policy states you will have to pay for a return shipping label ad then jump through hoops to get any kind of warranty approval.

I had a very good experience with Gerbing. They replaced an older defective jacket for me with almost no questions asked. Hope you get the same service.

I had an interment bad connection within my jacket liner causing one of my gloves not to heat. Not good considering I was in Deadhorse, AK at the time. I had to pay for shipping to send the jacket liner back to Gerbing for warranty repair and they paid for shipping back to me. Quick response and turnaround times. They will take care of you.

Long story short. I ordered a jacket liner from them. They sent me the wrong size. I asked to return it and they would not pay shipping. I asked to exchange it and they paid the shipping.
