What the Heck do you need a shotgun in Canada for?? We sure don't want you here with that thing!!!
Sigh… Are you afraid of ladders, lawnmowers and Chainsaws too? More people are hurt by everyday household and Lawn equipment than by hand-guns.

Don’t even get me started about cell phones use by dolts in cars.

So, read where he’s going add some common sense and a big critter (Bear) and maybe, just maybe, you will receive an epiphany.

Good luck, sounds like you'll need it with all those scarry guns up there.

No forget it, it was just a vision of Americans carrying scary guns up in Canada.
Far out! I guess I'll bring my Para-Ordnance 1911 45 ACP.
After all, it was built in Canada.

Don't make me come down there. I'll bring my hockey stick with me and then you'll be scared. Maybe!
Sweeeet! Lets go to a Thrashers game! They suck but hey, it's still live hockey.

Oh! BTW you bring the beer! Hmmm...“Drunk Kunooks and Americans with Hockey sticks and guns”. Far out! Man, that sounds like it could be a “Dead Kennedy’s” album.

Right On Boots & Saddles!!! Anyone with half a brain knows that it's the person that commits a crime, can't blame it on a piece of wood and steel. If I were a Canadian I would rather have an honest American with a gun next to me than a criminal with a hockey stick. And let me say this also: I would rather have an honest Canadian with a gun next to me here in the USA versus a dishonest American. Doesn't matter what country you are from, it all boils down to good versus evil.
Guess you're not voting for the Hildebeest...Oops Sorry. I ment Hilllary.

:p :p :p :p :p

The disarmament of the Canadian population has to be an American government conspiracy - to protect America.

After all, if an armed population is a peaceful, law-abiding population, and given the American distaste for gun control in their own country, why is it that the first mission of the American military when it enters (ie, invades) a foreign country is to disarm the civilians, ie, those law-abiding individuals simply trying to protect themselves?

It's gotta be a conspiracy.
Same reason the Nazi's did it! An unarmed population is an obedient population

Sadly, this is the only way a Canadian could have a side arm. And when you talk to them about it, the majority of Canadians do not realize that a basic right has been taken from them.

Dave

Actually they never had the right. We as Americans have the Bill of rights to guaranty every citizen the right to own and bare arms. Everyone else in the world does not.
“A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
Some will claim that a militia is not an ordinary citizen with a gun. When anyone researches the period of the Revolutionary war and the war of 1812 they will find that there was a lack of federal firearms available at the time (up to and including the civil war) and any loyal citizen with a gun was welcome to bear arms against all enemies. The Second amendment was also included to insure Tyranny would not run ramped through out the new Congress. A well-armed population could not be over run and ruled over very easily.
As Admiral Yamamoto is reputed to have said, “You cannot invade America. There is a rifle behind every blade of grass.”
The Militia (non regular Army) also played a vital part in the War of 1812 in New Orleans and up the Mississippi River.
Let’s face it, we will be the last defense between them and our families.
Here is some very good reading regarding the American Militia:

Given the above how do you explain that the intentional homicide rate in the US ....[/quote:20mfjw9m]
The "intentional homicide rate"? I explain it like this...

... There must be other factors involved. Otherwise if you are safer with more relaxed firearms regulations does it not follow that the US should have a much lower rate of intentional homicide?
What law will prevent "intentional homicide"? Does not every civilized society already have laws that say murder is against the law? Even the Bible says "Thou shalt not murder". So, if those laws don't work, how does forcing honest, law-abiding citizens to turn in their firearms going to help? Can you explain that?

Two cities in the U.S. that have the strongest gun control laws are New York City and Washington DC, which are two of the most crime infested cities we have. And, in every State in the U.S. that has passed 'shall-issue' concealed carry permits (at least 37) the crime rate has gone DOWN, and if we wished to lower the crime rate even more, the rest of the States need to follow suit and also have 'shall-issue' concealed carry permits.[/quote:20mfjw9m]

Something that the U.S. does more than other country is our open boarder policy, wide ass open. Many people enter our boarders by land, air and sea. Some of these people aren't very law abiding and our security is not very tight. Even after 911 our security is a joke. We are getting help from our northern neighbors but the southern boarder has been a disaster for a long time.
Its only a matter of time when a nuclear device will be detonated in the U.S. via the back of an illegal Mexican.

This isn'nt even close to GL1800 issues, its just a Country bashing thing now. I'm not going to do any bashing right now but its sure not doing much for any of us traveling in each others country. Hope when we see each others Licence plate it doesn't effect our decision to lend a helping hand if needed as our countries mean more to us than our bikes.
Huh? No way man!
The great white tundra is cool :p ....Err um ....
Look, we have differences and we discuss them in a civilized manner.
You may not like my point of view and I may not agree with yours but that's what makes us different. How cool is that!
It would be a real boring planet if everyone were the same!

Ride safe and lets drink a Beer in a cyber toast to each other’s health a well being.

Be cool.
