My dad is working on a 1993 1500. When the bike is cold and you put the choke on, it will not idle up. It kinda wants to cut off as if the choke is not working. It runs find otherwise. Any suggestions on what's going on with the choke? Thanks
Take the air box off and see if the linkaage, and there is a lot of it, is moving freely all the way to the two idle enrichment valves, one on the left front and one to the rear right of the carbs as you look down on it from the seat area. I had to take the air horn offf the top of the carbs and free up the pivot point. Not a fun job but very doable by a shade tree mechanic.
