It is a strong posibility that you can get SNOW in the Flagstaff area at that time of year. Night time weather is cold daytime not real bad. Other then that, beautiful rideing in Northern AZ.

Arizona is a state with lots of elevation changes; south rim of the canyon is at 6 or 7 thousand feet. We're in western Nevada now at ~3200 feet; snow fell last night very close to us.

You'll want to really monitor weather conditions; research some weather information places for details on what weather has been like during that time in years' past.

Short answer: End of March/beginning of April may be more conducive to riding weather; hard to predict this far in advance.

I've done it from Florida around the third week in March
and quiet often some of the high mountain passes are still closed.
... usually, Memorial Day is the target date for getting the high passes
plowed open ...

You could get prob do it if you're planning a South Rim visit ....
