OK, maybe not a gouge, but doggone if it's not a deep scratch!

I'm going to stop trying to park in those little "motorcycle parking" areas at work. I think someone got me with their mirror. Not upset with them personally, the GW does take up a lot of room, but come on...

Anyway, what would you recommend for deep scratches in the fairing? Is there any way short of replacement to restore it?

I guess it has some character now. The first one is always the hardest, though.

I had a very deep scratch in the shelter that was buffed out with a high speed buffer and polishing compound. The guy that did the work was very careful not to overheat the plastic. Came out very nice you couldn't find it, but I know where it is.:shrug:

Depending on the location and size you might consider having a pin-stripper put something over the area and cover it up.

Buff pad

divit will still be there but will look shiney
