My GPS is completely malfunctioning. It has me as being in California. I'm in New York!!!

Anyone else have anything like this happen to them? If so...any suggestions, other than just take it to the dealership?

Mine will do that when I move it in our toy hauler. It will show me somewhere else, usually close to where it was last shut off. Once I start riding/moving the bike it catches up.

Yup, mine has done that too, had to ride around a little before it figured out where the heck I was.

Is it because the manufature of the GPS's Headquarters is located in CA. and the GPS goes to a default setting before it reconizes where it really is???

Try a system reset (in particular after a software upgrade) , as described in the manual
