Any idea how many and what type vendors will be present and whether or not they will be offering discounts. I'm not interested in soft ice cream or pins/patches but would likely spring for a 1 year fee to attend if vendor presence will be high. I ask because last year, I stopped by another GWRRA regional rally and saw few vendors.

Thanks.

What were the dates on that?
Late March, starting about the 16th as I recall. Do you think attendance would be worthwhile from the standpoint of vendor participation? That's all I am interested in.

Ben,
There has been in the past few years since it moved to Marshal, but didn't go last year. Usually a fair showing. It doesn't cost any thing to walk around the outside part, where the most of the vendors are. Look for Bobby I think her name is, she has a really big selection of GL goodies.

Thanks George. I'm interested in electronic gizmos, not in chrome <g>. If the weather is nice, I might ride over for a day. I stopped at another GWRRA Rally last year and didn't see much. In years past, I 'visited' a few GWRRA Mississippi Coast Rallies that were well attended by vendors. I get the impression that Rallies are not the draw to vendors that they once were.

Ben,
What type of electronic do-dads you lookin fer!! The rally will have a couple of things in the headset stuff. Sierra will more than likely be there, that is where I got the helmet-less headsets from. Bobby does light installs, and others there too. I don't remember too much in the way of GPS' and things like that, but I tend to forget where I am at most of the time too...

I'm not shopping for anything in particular but I'm a sucker fro that sort of 'stuff.' Sierra was at the last GWRRA rally that I visited but not offering discounts like the used to.

Must be nice to be able to walk around for free. Last Rally I attended it was $20.00 to get in the vendor area. Main reason I stopped going to them.

I've never seen a state rally that comes close to the Mississippi Rally in vendors. With that being said, I've not been there since the year before Katrina went through so I have no idea what they are attracting now.

It's probably because the Misissippi Gulf Coast has so much more to offer than GWRRA pins and 'seminars.' The Coast has been cleaned up, unlike New Orleans though many of the landmarks, some over 100 years old were destroyed and it might take a bit of time to get one's bearings.

Vendors at Marshall, TX

When I looked at the website several days ago, I could not find info about how vendors could sign up, but we do plan to be there with Mick-O-Pegs.

I've never attended a GWRRA Rally before, does it cost anything to get into the vendor area, and do you have to be a member? I checked their Web site, I didn't see any cost for admission.

Thank you,
Rick

Unless things have changed, it even costs to pay attention at GWRRA events! I think the last time I bought a day pass entitling me to visit the vendor compound and marvel at the pins and vests, it cost about $12 or $15. They might attract more quality vendors if they allowed the public access.
