While riding in the Foothills today, I seen several people on motorcycles tapping the top of their helment as they passed. What were they trying to indicate by doing this? First time I have seen it.

Thanks Bob! That makes sense now as the 3rd or 4th vehicle behind them was a Park Ranger type vehcile and then a THP just down the road a bit!!

No probs! Glad you obviously didn't need the signal - could've ruined a good day..

A buddy of mine was riding his chopper in front of me one day and was kicking his boots off the pegs left and right.

First stop I asked him what the heck he was doing. He told me he was pointing out debris in the road.

I'd never seen that one before either. :shrug:

Here's a good link that will learn ya basic hand signals. Some could save you from a close encounter with a road hazard!
