I have a sale paper good for a month and a 20% coupon. I'm thinking to put my 2 sea 16' seakayaks on it and my camping gear on the inside of them. the problem is the short tongue. i want to cut the tongue and put a removable extension in to make it 10 ft from ball to axle. thats 120 lbs of kayaks plus 100lbs of gear max. would this configuration present any additional problems with stability or handling? any reason why this may not be advisable?

Be sure to make a removeable 'jumper' in order to extend your trailer wiring when you use the longer trailer tongue.

i found a lot of post from a few years back...pulling canoe/kayaks and such. i never found any horrow stories so i'm guesing good to go.
