I was just curious if anyone on the board has installed a Bullet Brake on their Goldwing? If so how do you like it? FYI; Honda isn't listed on the order page. I've spoke with the owner and they do make these for Hondas, just note it when ordering in the miscellaneous note section.

I use it on my 2021 DCT for ease of use and trust it more than parking brake. Use BB-05 for the correct fit.

I don't see much use for it. I've always left my bike in 1st gear when parked out in the open and when parked on a grade....and in parking lots I put the front wheel against the parking bumpers with the bike in 1st gear...nice idea I guess if you are always parking on steep grades, but parking in 1st gear has always work with no need for any fix. I just don't see how I would ever use this product to justify the price.
If you had a DCT you might feel different.......no first gear, it's parked in neutral.

The BB is worth way more than the cost, especially if you own a heavy DCT Trike.

I have been asked many times while we were parked, about what stops or keeps our Trike from moving and aren't we afraid of it rolling away. We point out to them our Bullet Brake and how when set, you aren't going to move that Trike.
Have been told by many, they were going to go home and order one for their bikes.

My first Bullet Brake worked fine, but after 8-9 months use, it had a slightly stiff feeling
( friction? ) when you set it.
I called Mark Tilton @ Bullet Brake and asked him what I was doing wrong?
He said they had recently revised the piston slightly and were using a new seal.
His next sentence was,”Just toss it. I’m overnighting you a new one, free.”
And he did.
New one is perfect.

I was thinking that if there was a way to combine that thing with a keyed or combination lock, it would make a pretty decent anti-theft device.

$120????

I can’t see how it can be so expensive unless it’s being turned by hand and forged over a 2 day period.

-Priced high, sell a few
-Price it much lower and sell a lot

I don’t see these flying off the shelves.

Depends on how you look at it. If your bike/trike rolls away on you and hits something or falls over, that $120. is cheap. You don't get much for that amount of money any longer.
One thing about the Bullet Brake is, no one is going to move your bike/trike, when that brake is set.
We sure like ours and wouldn't be without it.

A buddy just received his and his order number was over 100,000. Seems to be selling pretty well.

Exactly...
Seems those that complain about the price are those that have never tried it and don't know how awesome it works.......
VERY MUCH worth the price....

See them mentioned on many motorcycle forums and lots of responses from owners on how well they work........they are selling plenty of them for sure.

Problem with the DCT park I brake is that it’s too easy to ride away with it on!
Electrical Connection makes an interlock that prevents the bike from going into gear with the parking brake applied.
Going to be my next purchase.

Problem is the bike can still roll away or be pushed and loaded up.
With the Bullet Brake, when you have it set, no way is it going to roll or be pushed without releasing it. If you try to drive away with it on, it will kill your motor or with a DCT, it just plain won't move.

That was my next comment. There needs to be a way to lock the BB in position when engaged. I vote combo lock (I have enough keys to keep track of. First thing a thief will do is jump on the bike and grab the brake, thus rendering the BB irrelevant as it pops out. He would never know it was on there. I’m going to put one on, I like the concept, and I have no other brake but 1st gear, but it is not a security device against theft OR tampering. You know what else works great? A long piece of doubled sided velcro tape wrapped around the grip and brake under tension. Think Rhino tiedown loop. Takes a little longer to disengage, but its $119 cheaper.

I have one on my 21 Tour, and it is The Bomb. Well worth the money. I was tired of constantly having to readjust the factory brake. I really hated to do it cause I liked the factory brake that worked fine before I did the trike kit but after, wouldn't stay tight enough to hold the bike. I recommend

For those that have installed the BB were you able to bleed the air out of the brake line after install using the BB like their install video suggests works on some bikes? If I have to actually do a front brake full bleed I need to get some speed bleeders before installing the BB. Hoping I can just pump the BB button a few times and be done after the install. :D
